Being from a small town does not limit our dancers to small titles.
After a season of exceptional examinations, 10 students received the prestigious invitation to compete at the 2015 North American BATD Trixie Hardy Scholarships. Congratulations to Kaitlin Kawam for placing first overall in both the junior ballet and the senior modern/jazz divisions. Joining her on the podium was Emma Good who won best potential in the senior tap division.
Other recognitions include Kaitlin placing in the top nine for the senior tap division and Ruby Kawam placing in the top 15 for the junior jazz division. Carmela Rapino and Maddy Davis also showed strong performances. Zoe Saito was nominated for the junior tap competition but was unable to attend the event.
Kaitlin is now eligible to compete in the International Dance Council Championships in England next summer.
